- ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama
The Potion Table by Mia Kay M3DM is a richly detailed piece of scatter terrain that does the storytelling work the moment it hits the table. The surface is heaped with personality: a rack of stoppered vials in graduated sizes, two alchemical flasks of noticeably different contents, scattered bone fragments and seed-bead strings, potted herbs, a runic tome left conspicuously open, and a swirled glass bottle that clearly contains something nobody should drink without asking first. The table itself is draped in a woven cloth bearing three crescent moon symbols — a calling card or a warning, depending on who's asking — and stands on legs carved or grown from gnarled, root-like timber, set on a wide organic base that anchors it beautifully in a woodland clearing, a market square, or the back room of somewhere disreputable.
Whether you're setting the scene in a druid's grove, an underground apothecary, or a travelling merchant's camp, this piece adds the kind of incidental detail that makes players lean in and ask questions. It works equally well as a gaming prop on a live battle map or as a display piece on the hobby shelf.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Want to give their herbalist, alchemist or druid NPC a proper workspace
- Are building immersive battle maps for market, wilderness or dungeon encounters
- Paint and collect fantasy scatter terrain for dioramas or display
- Need a prop that prompts player curiosity without a single word of description
Encounter Hook:
The party has been tracking a poisoner through the lower city for three sessions. The trail ends here — at this table, still warm to the touch, vials rearranged as if someone left in a hurry. One flask is conspicuously absent from the rack. The herbalist's notes, written in a cipher nobody immediately recognises, are still open on the page.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. The model is supplied with a base attached. The piece is ready to prime and paint straight away, or use as-is for an unpainted aesthetic — it reads clearly either way. As with all hand-finished resin pieces, minor imperfections may occasionally occur; any residual marks are easily tidied up before painting.
