Description

In the flooded delta cities of the south, few warriors are as feared as the platypus clans — calm-faced, heavily armed, and absolutely not interested in your questions.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This sculpt from MZ4250 captures a platypus barbarian in a low, grounded combat stance — both hands gripping the hilt of an oversized longsword planted before him, tip to the ground, as though daring someone to make the first move. He wears a mix of padded armour and leather, with a shoulder guard on his right side and a sturdy belt of pouches at his waist. His broad, flat bill is expressionless in that unsettling way that platypuses always are, and his thick scaled tail sweeps behind him, filling the base with a natural, weighty presence. The pose reads equally well as a seasoned mercenary at rest or a warrior about to explode into motion.

This is the kind of mini that makes your players do a double-take when you place it on the table — and then immediately want to know more about whoever is on the other end of that sword.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Want a player character who genuinely stands out in the party line-up
  • Need a memorable NPC fighter, guild enforcer, or rival mercenary
  • Love creature-folk characters and unconventional race choices
  • Are building a coastal, swamp, or delta-themed campaign setting
  • Collect standout sculpts from across the TTRPG miniature world

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at a river crossing to find it blocked by a heavyset figure in battered armour, a longsword planted in the mud before him. He doesn't speak. He doesn't move. A leather satchel on his belt bears a wax seal the party's wizard recognises as belonging to someone they've been trying very hard to avoid. He still hasn't said a word.
