Description

It holds no face, offers no expression, and yet every soldier in the garrison felt certain it was watching them — individually, all at once.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Plasmoid is one of the more quietly unsettling presences in D&D 5e — a sentient ooze that has decided, with unnerving calm, to wear the shape of a humanoid and pick up a spear. This particular sculpt captures that eerie duality: the bodysuit of leather armour, the bandolier of pouches, the steady grip on a long-hafted spear — all the trappings of a seasoned soldier, wrapped around a form that has no bones, no face, and no fixed identity. It is a creature that belongs equally in a Spelljammer setting or deep in the Underdark, and it will make your players deeply, productively uncomfortable.

The sculpt features a sturdy, wide-legged stance with the spear held low and ready — not a charging pose, but a watchful one. There is something almost bureaucratic about the stillness of it, which somehow makes it more threatening. The back of the armour is packed with detail: layered pouches, a utility belt, and a short blade tucked at the hip, suggesting a creature that came prepared for a long mission and intends to see it through.

A solid choice for adventurers who:

  • Are running Spelljammer, Planescape, or Underdark-focused D&D 5e campaigns
  • Want a Plasmoid NPC or player character miniature that reads clearly on the tabletop
  • Are building a unit of unusual soldiers or mercenaries for a morally complex encounter
  • Collect display miniatures from across the monster manual's stranger corners

Encounter Hook:
The party is hired to retrieve a deserter from a mercenary company — but when they track the individual to a remote waystation, they find the entire garrison standing in silence, spears at rest, facing inward. None of them have moved in three days. None of them have faces anymore.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale. Supplied with a separate decorative base, which can be attached with a small amount of super glue — the model is designed to interact with its base, so we recommend using it. Arrives ready to prime and paint, or use straight from the box. Minor support marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before painting.
