  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs

Captain Diego de Alba is no ordinary pirate lord. This 35mm sculpt by Great Grimoire depicts a hulking, barrel-chested figure clad in spiked and chitinous armour that looks grown rather than forged — as though the sea itself has fused to his flesh. He carries a massive crescent-bladed axe rested across one shoulder and a large ornate key in the other hand, dripping with implied menace and maritime mystery. His long braided beard, horned helmet, and scarred face speak to decades of brutality on the open water, while the base tells its own story: a rocky shoreline scattered with skulls, writhing tentacles, and the unmistakable suggestion of something far worse lurking just below the surface.

This is a character built for campaign centrepieces. Whether you run him as a cursed pirate captain, a warlock patron's chosen champion, a fiend-touched warlord, or a legendary boss encounter at the climax of a nautical arc, Diego commands the table. The sculpt rewards careful painting — the textured armour plating, knotted beard detail, and tentacle-strewn base offer layers of opportunity for experienced painters and hobbyists alike. Equally at home on a display shelf as on a battle map.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Are running a nautical, pirate, or sea-horror D&D campaign
  • Need a commanding boss monster or cursed NPC for a maritime encounter
  • Want a centrepiece mini that doubles as a display piece
  • Paint character-driven sculpts with deep surface detail

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the sunken harbour town of Velthrake to find every vessel moored to a single enormous anchor chain — and at the end of it, Diego de Alba stands knee-deep in the tide, key in hand, waiting to unlock something that has been sealed beneath the seabed for three hundred years.

Sculpted at 35mm scale — slightly larger than standard 32mm. If you'd prefer 32mm scaling, just send us a message and we'll adjust it for you. A decorative base option is available; if selected, please include a note with your order specifying which of the three base styles you'd like. The base (decorative or plain black) is supplied separately and can be attached with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch, though minor marks from the printing process may occasionally be present — these are easily tidied up during prep.
