Description

He's served under three captains, buried two of them, and knows exactly where the third one hid the gold.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This grizzled pirate veteran is the kind of figure who stands at the shoulder of every great (or terrible) pirate lord — the one who actually keeps the crew in line. Clad in a weathered long coat, crossed bandolier, and a battered tricorne hat, he carries the unmistakable bearing of a man who has survived more than he's let on. In pose one, he grips a heavy mace-headed staff, his free arm extended in a sharp commanding point — directing the boarding party, or perhaps identifying a traitor in the ranks. Pose two swaps the bludgeon for a spear, the same commanding gesture held, suggesting a lieutenant marshalling a skirmish line on the docks or a rain-lashed deck. A third pose shows the figure from behind, a short sword at his hip, pointing off into the distance — every inch the grizzled first mate who knows the coastline better than the captain does.

The sculpt detail is sharp throughout: layered belts and pouches, pistols tucked into the sash, lace-up boots, and a flowing coat hem that reads beautifully on the tabletop. Equally at home as a recurring NPC, a ship-based faction lieutenant, or a morally ambiguous quest-giver, this miniature suits both active gaming and display collecting.

Brilliant for adventurers who:

  • Need a named pirate lieutenant or first mate NPC for a naval or coastal campaign
  • Are running a port city, smuggler's den, or sea voyage arc in D&D 5e or another TTRPG
  • Want a characterful humanoid figure that reads as experienced, dangerous, and slightly untrustworthy
  • Are building out a pirate crew with distinct, paintable sculpts
  • Collect maritime or swashbuckling themed miniatures for display

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to recover stolen cargo from a pirate crew — but when they track down the ship, it's the first mate who meets them on the gangplank, not the captain. He speaks quietly, one hand on his spear, and makes them an offer: help him remove his employer, and he'll hand over the cargo himself. He gives them ten seconds to decide.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The figure and decorative base are separate pieces — a small amount of super glue brings them together, and the base is worth keeping, as several of the sculpts interact meaningfully with the basing details. Arrive unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brush or your display shelf as-is.
