Pip Stonehill is one of those NPCs who quietly anchors a campaign — the innkeeper's son, the errand boy who saw something he shouldn't have, or simply the first friendly face adventurers meet when they stumble into a new settlement. The sculpt captures that perfectly: a young lad dressed in practical travelling clothes, a crossbody satchel slung over his shoulder, and an expression that sits somewhere between cautious curiosity and quiet determination.

The detail in the layered tunic, the wrapped belt, and the softly gathered trousers gives Pip a grounded, lived-in quality that suits a wide range of settings — from a Sword Coast hamlet to a Ravenloft village where things are decidedly less welcoming. Whether he's handing the party a crumpled letter from his missing father or nervously pointing them toward the old mill, Pip rewards a careful paint job. That face in particular — slightly upturned, earnest and watchful — will repay anyone who takes the time with it.

For Dungeon Masters running Phandalin or any small-town starting location, Pip is a natural fit. He's equally compelling as a recurring face across a long campaign, growing from background character to someone the party genuinely cares about.

This mini works especially well for adventurers who:

  • Are running starter campaigns or village-based adventures in D&D 5e
  • Need a believable young NPC to anchor a settlement or inn scene
  • Want a character whose story can evolve across multiple sessions
  • Enjoy painting expressive, character-driven sculpts with personality
  • Are building out a collection of townsfolk and civilian minis

Encounter Hook: The party has just arrived at the Stonehill Inn in Phandalin when Pip approaches their table, glancing over his shoulder. He slips them a folded note — his father Toblen never came back from the old road, and the town constable won't listen. Will the adventurers take the job, or walk straight into whatever took him?
