This is no mythological cliché wreathed in generic flame — La Louve 3D's Phoenix is a creature of the deep wilderness, sculpted with the exacting detail of a naturalist's obsession. Every primary feather on those dramatically outstretched wings is individually rendered, layering from covert to flight feather in a cascade of extraordinary surface texture. A proud feathered crest crowns the bird's fierce, open-beaked head, and the body's plumage transitions from dense breast feathers to finely striated tail feathers trailing down beneath the mushroom perch.

The base itself tells a story: a domed, wart-studded mushroom cap sits atop a gnarled stalk, flanked by grasping roots and scattered forest debris. It grounds this ethereal creature firmly in the material world — something ancient and wild, not merely a divine visitation. The sculpt is designed in separate components (body, wings, tail, mushroom, and base), giving painters and hobbyists clean, accessible surfaces on every piece.

Whether you paint it in natural corvid blacks and deep purples for a shadow-touched creature of the Feywild, or go full flame — ochres, crimsons, and ember oranges — the feather-by-feather sculpt will reward every brushstroke. As a familiar, an encounter creature, or a display centrepiece, this phoenix has presence that fills a shelf or a gaming table with equal conviction.

This miniature suits adventurers who:

  • Need a phoenix, noble roc, or resurrected sacred bird for their encounter roster
  • Are building a Feywild, forest, or nature-themed campaign arc
  • Want a druid's companion, ranger's ally, or divine omen creature on the table
  • Are looking for a rewarding centrepiece painting project with exceptional feather detail
  • Play or run campaigns involving rebirth, prophecy, or ancient forest spirits

Encounter Hook

The party has been tracking the source of a strange blight that has been turning the Verdant Wood to ash — only to stumble into a clearing where a great crested phoenix stands motionless on a mushroom ring, surrounded by dead branches. Its eyes track the adventurers with uncanny intelligence. Is it the cause of the devastation — or the last guardian standing between the forest and something far worse?
