Phase Spiders are among the most unnerving monsters a Dungeon Master can deploy. Not simply because they're huge, multi-legged horrors with compound eyes and fang-lined maws — but because they phase between the Material and Ethereal Planes mid-combat, vanishing from a fighter's reach only to reappear behind the party's cleric. This is Pose 02 of our Phase Spider range by Novaminis, and it captures the creature in a low, predatory stance: body pressed close to the ground, legs splayed wide and barbed at the joints, chelicerae raised and ready. The swollen, textured abdomen looms behind a cluster of eyes, and every angle of this sculpt communicates something deeply unpleasant about what happens next. Equally at home on a dungeon shelf as on your battlemap.
The sculpt shows excellent surface detail across the chitin plating, joint spurs, and bulbous abdomen — a rewarding mini to paint, whether you go for a naturalistic earth-tone palette or something more otherworldly to hint at its planar nature.

- Run dungeon-crawl encounters in caverns, Underdark tunnels, or drow-controlled ruins

Encounter Hook:
The party investigates a silk-wrapped skeleton in the depths of an abandoned Underdark waystation — only for the Phase Spider to blink back into existence directly between the paladin and the door, blocking every exit as its clutch of eggs begins to stir in the webbing overhead.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all high-detail resin work, minor surface marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before priming. If you'd like a different scale, just get in touch.
