Peryton by Mia Kay M3DM
Description
Where ancient forests press against the mountain passes and the sky turns the colour of old blood, the Peryton descends — antlered, feathered, and ravenous for a living heart.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Peryton is one of fantasy's most unsettling hybrids: the body and rack of a great stag fused with the broad, powerful wings of a bird of prey. In D&D lore, these creatures are driven by a hunger not for flesh but for the hearts of humanoids — a detail that makes them far more chilling than any straightforward predator. This sculpt by Mia Kay captures the creature mid-spread, wings fully extended and antlers raised, conveying both the majesty and menace that makes the Peryton such a memorable encounter piece. A smaller Peryton is also visible nestled beneath the larger form, suggesting a mated pair or a parent and fledgling — a narrative detail that opens up rich possibilities at the table.
Whether you're placing it at the centre of a wilderness hex, mounting it on a display shelf, or painting it as a showcase piece, this miniature carries genuine presence. Printed at 32mm scale, it sits comfortably alongside your existing collection while commanding attention on any encounter map.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run wilderness, mountain, or coastal encounters with memorable aerial threats
- Want a creature that unsettles players beyond simple combat — the Peryton's lore does real work
- Are building a display collection of classic D&D monstrosities
- Enjoy painting intricate feather and fur textures on a single sculpt
- Need a boss-tier flying monster for mid-level parties
Encounter Hook:
The village's missing hunters have been found — each one with their chest torn open and their heart absent. The tracks lead uphill, toward the crags where two vast shapes have been seen circling at dusk. Someone is going to have to go up there. The party's ranger notices the larger silhouette always flies slightly ahead, and the smaller one always follows.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. The model with a simple base is supplied as a single piece, base attached. The model with a plain base comes with the base separate, ready to attach with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor marks or imperfections can occasionally occur and are easily tidied up. Each piece is fully cured and ready to prime and paint.
