Description
They say Peg Leg Pete has sailed every cursed sea on the map — and the scars on his shell prove it.

- ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
- ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions
This detailed display bust depicts Pete as the weathered, battle-hardened mariner he is: a broad-shouldered tortoise-folk warrior rendered in extraordinary detail. His scaly neck and reptilian features carry the quiet menace of someone who has survived things they shouldn't have. A wide-brimmed hat adorned with a thistle emblem sits atop his head at a rakish angle, and a heavy belt buckle cinches the layered coat across his chest. Two blades are slung across his back — one a short dagger, the other a broader blade — both within easy reach of those thick, powerful arms. The sculpt captures him from the chest up, mounted on a classical display plinth that frames the character beautifully from every angle.
As a bust rather than a standard combat miniature, Pete is sculpted to reward the painter's eye — every scale, every strap, every weathered crease in his clothing is a surface waiting for a careful brush. He works equally well as a display centrepiece on a hobby shelf or as visual inspiration for a tortoise-folk NPC, pirate captain, or grizzled sea merchant in your campaign world.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Want a characterful display bust to paint and showcase
- Are building a collection of fantasy character busts
- Need a memorable pirate captain NPC for a nautical or seafaring campaign
- Play or DM with tortoise-folk, tortle, or reptilian characters
- Enjoy the craft side of the hobby as much as the gaming side
Encounter Hook:
The party has been asking around the dockside taverns for a ship willing to sail through the Shattered Shoals — a stretch of reef-riddled water no reputable captain will touch. The barkeep slides a coin across the table and nods toward the corner booth, where a scarred tortoise in a feathered hat is nursing a drink and watching the door. "He's sailed it twice," she says. "The second time wasn't voluntary."
Details
This is a display bust, not a standard 32mm combat miniature. It is scaled for shelf display and painting projects, and arrives on its own classical pedestal base. Supplied unpainted in grey resin. Supports are removed prior to dispatch; as with all resin prints, minor surface marks are possible and can be addressed with light sanding before painting.
