This set centres on a rune-carved stone obelisk topped with a crenellated crown, surrounded by five distinct goblin minions, each with their own personality etched into the sculpt. Up front, a snarling goblin brandishes a short sword mid-lunge, teeth bared and eyes wide — pure aggression given form. To the left, a spear-and-shield warrior squares up with surprising confidence. To the right, a crossbow-toting goblin crouches with a hunter's focus. Behind them, a hooded figure huddles conspiratorially beside the obelisk, while a fifth goblin perches atop the plinth itself, clutching something with gleeful possession. As a set, they read immediately as a gang, a warband, or something worse — a summoned arrangement with a purpose only their master understands.
The obelisk itself is the real dramatic anchor. Covered in carved runes and framed by a gothic stone base of broken flagstones, it doubles as scatter terrain, a quest objective, a magical artefact, or the centrepiece of an entire session's worth of plot. Whether it's a binding seal, a beacon, or the thing the party was told never to touch — the model does the storytelling for you.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a goblin warband with genuine sculpt variety and character
- Want a centrepiece terrain piece that doubles as a narrative hook
- Are building encounters around cursed artefacts, ruined sanctuaries, or dark rituals
- Paint goblin forces and want expressive, dynamic poses to work with
- Collect display-worthy sets as much as gaming pieces
Encounter Hook:
The party was hired to retrieve a wayward scholar last seen in the ruins east of Thornwall. They find his notes scattered across the flagstones, the summoning circle still faintly glowing — and five goblins arranged around a rune-carved obelisk, staring at the adventurers with the unsettling calm of creatures who were expecting them.
This set is printed at 32mm scale. The obelisk and goblin figures are included as shown. If you'd like a different scale, send us a message before ordering. A decorative base option is available — if selected, please note which base style you'd prefer. Bases arrive separate and attach easily with a small amount of glue. Some minor marks from the printing process are possible; these are easily tidied up before priming.
