This is pose 06 of our Owlbear range from Yasashii Kyojin Studios, and it's one of the most distinctive of the set. Rather than rearing up or lunging, this sculpt captures the creature at rest — sprawled low to the ground, enormous feathered body rising and falling with slow, deceptive calm. Every feather, every talon, every tuft of fur-and-plumage is rendered with exceptional detail across the whole form. The layered feathering along the spine and flanks has real depth, and those wide, splayed claws make it absolutely clear this animal is not to be trifled with, even sleeping.

For Dungeon Masters, this pose opens up encounters that don't begin with a roar. A cave threshold. A forest clearing gone quiet. A lair the party has stumbled into before its owner woke. Encounter Hook:
The druid holds up a fist — everyone freezes. There, in the hollow beneath the roots of a fallen oak, a mass of feathers and muscle shifts and exhales. The owlbear's nest. Three eggs, still warm. And the mother, curled around them, eyes flickering open.

Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. The sculpt is printed unpainted in grey resin and arrives ready for priming and painting, or use it straight off the shelf.
