Description

Somewhere beneath the tangle of roots and split stone, the old world still remembers what it was — and it is not done with you yet.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

This is the third piece in the Overgrown Ruins range from Novaminis, and it is the most dramatically vertical of the set. A cracked cylindrical column rises from a scatter of tumbled masonry blocks, its surface split by deep fissures with thick vines and twisting creepers working their way through every crack. At its base, broad-leafed plants and a single delicate flower have taken hold between the rubble — nature quietly reclaiming what was once built with intention. The stonework carries rich surface texture throughout, with lichen-patterned faces on the fallen blocks and carved detail barely visible beneath centuries of growth.

Whether you're building a jungle temple ruin, a druid's ancient grove, a forgotten battlefield, or the overgrown outskirts of a once-great city, this piece anchors a scene with convincing age and atmosphere. It reads as terrain from every angle, with genuine variation front-to-back that rewards adventurers and DMs alike — and looks equally at home on a display shelf as it does in the middle of a combat encounter.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Run wilderness, jungle, or forest encounters where ancient ruins have been swallowed by nature
  • Want scatter terrain that provides line-of-sight blocking cover with real visual interest
  • Are building a ruined temple, lost city, or Feywild-adjacent location for their campaign
  • Collect themed terrain sets and want a centrepiece piece with height and presence
  • Paint dioramas or display scenes featuring overgrown, reclaimed environments

Encounter Hook:
The party pushes through the undergrowth into a clearing where a shattered column still stands amid tumbled stone — and carved into its base, half-hidden by a flowering vine, is the same glyph they found in the dead druid's journal. Something shifts in the canopy above. They are not the first to find this place today.

Scaled to 32mm to sit naturally alongside standard miniatures. Available with or without a plain black display base — the base comes unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Ready for priming and painting straight out of the box, or use as-is for immediate tabletop use. Support marks are removed before dispatch; as with all resin prints, minor imperfections are possible and can be tidied up easily before painting.
