Description

The old empire built to last a thousand years — the forest has other plans.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

This is the second piece in the Overgrown Ruins scatter terrain range by Novaminis, and it brings a real sense of forgotten grandeur to the tabletop. A tall classical column — carved with the faint remnants of ornamental stonework — has been almost entirely consumed by nature. Thick, gnarled roots and vines spiral upward from the base, where wild flowers and skeletal leaf debris cluster at the foot. The upper shaft still holds its shape, but the lower third is buried beneath generations of encroaching growth. It tells a story without a word of narration required.

Whether you're building a lost elven temple, a crumbling imperial outpost, or a jungle-choked ruin your players have stumbled into mid-chase, this column provides instant atmosphere. The silhouette is distinct on the battlefield — tall, vertical, and visually interesting from every angle, as shown in the four-view reference images. It works equally well as part of a larger ruined set or standing alone as a focal point in a wilderness or dungeon encounter.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Are building immersive ruin, jungle, or overgrown dungeon encounters
  • Want scatter terrain that tells an environmental story at a glance
  • Are creating diorama scenes or display boards set in ancient or lost civilisations
  • Enjoy painting organic textures — the tangled roots and wild flowers reward careful drybrushing and washes

Encounter Hook:
The party is three rounds into a skirmish with the yuan-ti scouts when the ranger notices it — one of the columns at the temple's edge is still standing, wrapped in vines, its capital just high enough to offer a clear sightline across the courtyard. Reaching it means crossing open ground under fire. Staying put means the sorcerer's spell slots won't last. The column waits, patient as the forest itself.

Supplied unpainted and ready for priming. Scaled to 32mm — if you need an alternative scale, just get in touch. Available with or without a plain black base; the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue.
