He stood at the edge of the market square, cap slightly askew, smiling at something only he could see — and the party couldn't shake the feeling he knew exactly where the stolen reliquary had gone.

Osric is a young halfling boy with a quietly confident air about him — the sort of lad who's heard more than adults give him credit for and remembers every word. Sculpted with soft, rounded halfling proportions, he stands in a relaxed pose: hands at his sides, a gentle smile on his face, dressed in a short-sleeved button shirt with a neck scarf, belted breeches, and sturdy buckled shoes. His hair is swept back in a loose bun, and there's a warmth to his expression that makes him feel genuinely alive on the tabletop.
Whether he's a beloved village lad the party has sworn to protect, a surprisingly sharp-eared informant, or a child NPC whose disappearance kicks off an entire chapter of your campaign, Osric brings real human texture to the towns and hamlets your adventurers pass through. He's equally at home on a shelf as a display piece — a wonderfully characterful sculpt that rewards careful painting.
A good fit for adventurers who:
- Want a well-crafted halfling child NPC to populate their campaign settlements
- Need a quest-giver, witness, or missing-person hook to anchor a story beat
- Are painting collectors drawn to expressive, characterful everyday folk sculpts
- Run slice-of-life or narrative-heavy TTRPG campaigns where townsfolk matter
Encounter Hook:
The night before the party is due to leave Millhaven, young Osric slips them a folded note under the tavern door — a rough map of the old mill, marked with an X and the single word "tonight". He's nowhere to be found by morning, but the tracks outside his window lead east, into the Ashwood.
Osric is scaled to 32mm and supplied unpainted, primed and ready to paint. The digital render shown is an accurate representation of the sculpt's detail and proportions. Support marks may occasionally be present but are easily tidied up before painting.
