This is the Orc Tent 01 from Novaminis — a chunky, characterful piece of scatter terrain that transforms a blank battlemap into a living, breathing warcamp. The hexagonal hide tent is stretched across a timber frame lashed with rope, its fabric panels stitched together with rough cross-stitch detail and draped to suggest the weight of cured leather. The open-fronted entrance is framed by wooden posts hung with chains — an invitation, if you dare — while the roofline bristles with iron spikes, gnarled horns, and a cluster of skulls that mark this as a warchief's personal command post. Every surface tells a story of conquest and brutal pragmatism.
Whether you're staging an ambush inside an orc encampment, giving your players a tactical objective to seize, or building a display warband diorama, this tent anchors the scene with the kind of environmental storytelling that only physical terrain can provide. It sits naturally alongside orc warriors, shamans, and warbosses at standard 32mm scale.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Build immersive orc or goblinoid warcamp encounters for D&D 5e or other TTRPGs
- Want scatter terrain that reads instantly on a battlemap
- Are painting warband dioramas or display collections
- Need a warchief's tent as a mission objective, prisoner location, or encounter centrepiece
Encounter Hook:
The party has tracked the raiding party back to their camp — three tents in the clearing, but this one, larger than the rest and hung with the skull of something that should not have been killable, is where the war drums are coming from. Whatever is inside ordered the raids. Whatever is inside has been expecting them.
Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black display base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. Each piece is quality checked before dispatch, though minor marks from the printing process may occasionally be present; these are easily cleaned up with a hobby knife or fine sandpaper. Ships ready for priming and painting, or use straight from the box for unpainted games.
