This is pose 03 of the Novaminis Orc Sentry range, and it captures something the other poses don't: raw, mid-motion aggression. This orc is caught in the act — spear raised high overhead in one meaty fist, the other arm outstretched as if sighting down an invisible line to his target. There's a kinetic fury to the sculpt that makes it read brilliantly on the tabletop, especially when your players round a corner and find three of them staring back.

The detail on this sculpt rewards a careful painter. The layered chainmail skirt, heavily studded leather belt, and spiked pauldrons tell the story of a warrior who has accumulated his armour piece by brutal piece. The horned helmet frames a snarling, tusked face with real personality — this is not a generic grunt, but a veteran who has held this post long enough to be genuinely dangerous. Whether you're fielding him as a warband heavy, a fort guard with too much initiative, or the first sign that the players have stumbled into orc territory, he brings immediate threat and character to any encounter.

Encounter Hook:
The party crests the ridge to find the mountain pass already held — a lone orc sentry stands silhouetted against the grey sky, spear cocked back and ready to fly. He hasn't raised the alarm yet. Whether that's because he's deciding, or because he doesn't need help, is a question the players have about six seconds to answer.

Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. As with all our minis, supports are removed before dispatch; the nature of high-detail resin printing means occasional minor marks may be present, which are easily tidied up before priming.
