Description

Even the most fearsome warriors have a softer side — and this one's decided his free afternoon is best spent painting a miniature of his own.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

There's something deeply charming about a heavily muscled orc barbarian — broadbacked, tusked, wearing a muzzle-style face guard and carrying a massive axe slung over one shoulder — taking a quiet moment to paint a tiny figure. This sculpt leans into that wonderful contradiction with real personality: the axe is still strapped on, the forearms are still thick as tree trunks, and yet there he stands, squinting at a miniature held in one enormous hand with a brush in the other. It's a love letter to the hobby, rendered in the language of orcish brawn.

This is the second variation in MZ4250's Orc Male Barbarian range, so if you've already picked up another sculpt from the series, this one offers something tonally distinct — lighter in mood, heavy on character. Whether you want to use him as a memorable NPC with an unexpected depth, or simply display him on your shelf as a tribute to the hobby itself, this sculpt earns his place at any table.

MZ4250 is one of the most prolific and beloved designers in the tabletop community, known for wide-ranging, accessible sculpts that cover nearly every race and class combination imaginable. This piece is a fine example of their ability to inject warmth and humour into the craft without sacrificing quality of form.

  • Adventurers who want a hobby-within-the-hobby meta moment on their shelf
  • DMs looking for a disarmingly characterful orc NPC who surprises the party
  • Painters who appreciate a sculpt with a genuine story baked into the pose
  • Collectors who love the MZ4250 style and want breadth across the orc range

Encounter Hook: The party finds a scarred orc warboss not sharpening blades or barking orders, but hunched over a workbench in the back of his war tent — carefully basecoating a tiny figure of a human paladin. He notices them. He doesn't put the brush down. "You knock next time," he growls. "This bit takes concentration."
