This is pose 8 of the Novaminis Heavy Orc Warrior range — a broad-shouldered, thick-necked brute caught mid-stride, sword extended and spiked shield raised at an angle that says he's done this before. The sculpt is loaded with character: riveted leather armour layered over a chain wrap at the waist, vicious spurs on the shoulderpads and boots, and a face that has clearly taken as many hits as it has given. There's a weight to the pose that reads as experience rather than blind aggression — this is a veteran, not a grunt.
For Dungeon Masters, he's a natural fit as an orc warlord's enforcer, a champion guarding a mountain pass, or the first real test of a party that's been breezing through weaker encounters. Encounter Hook:
The party reaches the collapsed bridge over the Greyspine Gorge — and find it already held. A single orc warrior stands at the near end, shield angled low, sword resting on one shoulder. Behind him, three torches mark the treeline. He doesn't shout. He just waits.
Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin miniatures, minor marks may occasionally occur and can be tidied up before priming. Each piece is fully cured and ready for paint or use straight from the box.
