This Orc Death Knight is a warlord who has long since crossed the line between living champion and something darker. Broad-shouldered and barrel-chested, he advances with the deliberate weight of a warrior who has never once needed to run. His layered hide-and-bone pauldrons are bound with cord and talisman; a skull hangs at his belt like a calling card left for whatever remains of his enemies. In his right hand he holds a massive, serrated battle-axe — its blade jagged with cruel spurs and riveted with dark iron, clearly forged not for ceremony but for consequence. Pointed ears, a salt-and-pepper topknot, and a heavy beard give him an age that reads as experience rather than frailty. This is not a grunt or a footsoldier — this is a war-leader whose name has been struck from civilised records and spoken only in fearful whispers around camp fires.
Sculpted with exceptional surface detail across every layer — from the wrapped bindings on his forearms to the claw-tipped gauntlet on his left hand — this miniature rewards careful painting and stands as a centrepiece character whether placed on the table or displayed on a shelf. He works equally well as a named BBEG, a rival faction's champion, a cursed warlord risen from death, or a seasoned Death Domain cleric who chose the wrong patron.
Well-suited to adventurers who:
- Need a commanding orc villain or rival champion for a D&D 5e or TTRPG campaign
- Are building a warband or undead-adjacent encounter with a powerful frontline leader
- Want a miniature with enough character detail to serve as a named, story-driven NPC
- Enjoy painting heavily textured armour, leather, and bone trophies
- Collect display-quality fantasy miniatures from independent sculptors
Encounter Hook:
The party has been tracking the Blacktusk warband for three sessions when they finally corner its leader in the ruins of a collapsed shrine to Gruumsh. He does not flee. He does not negotiate. He simply sets down a sack containing the head of the merchant lord who hired the party, draws his axe, and says: "I knew you'd come. I prepared."
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and decorative base are separate pieces, best attached with superglue — some sculpts interact with the base geometry, so we recommend fitting both before priming. Printed at high resolution with fine surface detail throughout. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all high-detail resin prints, minor marks are possible and can be cleaned up easily before painting.
