Description

He tips his bowler hat to nobody — because in this city, everybody already knows to get out of his way.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is no tribal raider dragged from the wilderness. The Orc City Guard is a creature of cobblestones and back-alleys, dressed in a heavy trenchcoat with layered shoulder armour, boots built for long patrols, and a blunderbuss cradled across his chest like a man who expects to use it. The bowler hat is the finishing touch — a signal that civilisation has found a use for orcs, and orcs have found it suits them just fine. He's got the scowl of someone who's heard every excuse twice and believes none of them.

Whether you're running a steampunk-inflected fantasy city, a Waterdeep-style urban campaign, or a gritty noir-tinged setting where the watch carries firepower instead of crossbows, this sculpt fills a gap that most miniature ranges overlook entirely. Use him as a beat officer, a corrupt enforcer, a guild-hired muscle, or the first hostile face the party sees when they step off the docks into the wrong district. He works equally well on the tabletop and on a display shelf — the detail in the coat, pouches, and facial expression rewards both distance and close inspection.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Run urban or city-based D&D and TTRPG campaigns
  • Need NPC guards, enforcers, or watch officers with real character
  • Love painting character-heavy sculpts with strong silhouettes
  • Are building a steampunk-fantasy or industrial-age setting
  • Collect orc miniatures beyond the standard warband aesthetic

Encounter Hook:
The party has just lifted a crate from the dockside warehouse when the fog parts and a single city guard steps into the lamplight — hat low, blunderbuss raised, and a badge on his coat that marks him as belonging to someone far worse than the city watch. He doesn't shout for backup. He doesn't need to.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale. The model on a detailed base is supplied as a single piece. The plain-base variant comes with the base separate for easy attachment with a small amount of glue. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming — a brilliant canvas for washes, highlighting the coat folds, and picking out those cartridge pouches.
