This is a creature built for war. The bat mount crouches in a wide, predatory stance — four clawed limbs braced against the ground, enormous membranous wings spread wide to their full fearsome span. Recurved bone-spurs hook from the leading edges of each wing, and the leathery skin between them is rendered with fine venation that rewards close attention at the painting table. Thick, matted fur covers the body, contrasting brilliantly with the smooth, taut wing membranes — a gift to any painter who enjoys pushing contrast techniques. The beast's head is low and aggressive, jaws parted to reveal a row of savage teeth, its expression somewhere between a snarl and a challenge. A harness of riveted armour plate is strapped across its back and shoulders, marking this creature as a trained instrument of war rather than a wild predator stumbled upon in a cave.

Mounted on a large 51mm base, this sculpt has serious table presence.
