Description

Something is wrong with the trees at the forest's edge — bark slick and glistening, branches reaching upward as thick ropes of slime drip slowly to the ground below.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

This Ooze Covered Tree is a piece of scatter terrain that transforms the atmosphere of any encounter. Two dead, bare-branched trees are depicted mid-corruption, their trunks wrapped in viscous, slowly-flowing slime that pools and drips from the bark in thick, gelatinous strands. One is a larger centrepiece specimen, the other a smaller companion piece — together they suggest a forest, swamp, or dungeon antechamber that has been thoroughly claimed by something far too hungry and far too patient.

Whether you're representing the encroachment of a black pudding colony spreading through an underground forest, a cursed wood where an elder ooze holds dominion, or simply the unsettling outskirts of a myconid-touched wilderness, these trees do the work of storytelling before a single dice is rolled. Equally compelling as display pieces on a shelf, where the sculpted drips catch paint and dry-brushing with particular drama.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Build immersive battle maps for dungeon, swamp, and corrupted forest encounters
  • Want scatter terrain that hints at a greater, lurking threat nearby
  • Are painting dioramas or display scenes featuring ooze-type creatures
  • Collect atmospheric fantasy terrain alongside their miniature warbands

Encounter Hook:
The druid makes her Perception check and goes pale. The trees here aren't just dead — they're dissolving, bark softening and sloughing away in slow, glistening sheets. Then the ranger notices the trees are moving, almost imperceptibly, angling their branches inward. Whatever is digesting this forest, it started here, and the party is standing right in the middle of it.

Details

This listing includes two ooze-covered tree variants — a larger centrepiece and a smaller companion piece — both scaled to 32mm. Models are supplied unpainted and ready for priming. As with all hand-finished pieces, minor surface marks may occasionally be present and can be tidied up before painting.
