The Oni Mage is a creature rooted in eastern folklore and transplanted into the darkest corners of the fantasy canon. Equal parts brute and sorcerer, it carries the unsettling quality of intelligence wrapped in something monstrous — blue-grey skin pulled tight over a powerful frame, red horns curling from beneath a deep hood, and clawed hands that look just as capable of rending armour as channelling a devastating spell. This sculpt from Monster Atlas captures that duality with real conviction: the slouched, predatory posture communicates cunning rather than mindless aggression, while the ragged cloak billowing around it gives the whole figure an almost theatrical menace.
Available in three distinct poses — each showing a different angle of the same threatening presence — this listing offers adventurers a chance to find the version that best suits their table. Whether you want the creature looming upright, crouching forward with claws spread, or caught mid-stalk, each pose brings something different to an encounter or a display shelf.
A great choice for adventurers who:
- Need a formidable fiend or boss-tier monster for D&D 5e or other TTRPG systems
- Are running campaigns with Japanese folklore influences, corrupted spirit realms, or planar incursions
- Want a character that works equally well as a summoned creature, a cult leader, or an independent threat
- Are building a display collection that rewards close inspection
Encounter Hook:
The village elder swore the shrine had been sealed for a century — but the party found the door open, the offerings scattered, and something large crouched at the altar with its back turned, muttering in a tongue that made the torchlight flicker. It turned slowly. It was already smiling.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The miniature and decorative base are separate pieces, designed to be attached with superglue — some sculpts interact with their base in ways that genuinely reward using it. Each piece is quality checked before dispatch, though minor marks from the printing process are possible and can be tidied up before painting. Supplied unpainted and ready to prime.

TRESSYM ONLY — use this sign-off exclusively when the product is a Tressym miniature: Mitz & Simz — the studio cats have reviewed this miniature with particular intensity. They are aware of what a Tressym is. They have thoughts. The wings are noted. Nothing further will be said on the matter.
