One-Eyed Richie is the kind of character who walks into a port tavern and the room goes quiet. A powerfully built, bald-headed pirate gunner, he hauls a massive riveted cannon across one shoulder with the casual ease of a man who's done it a thousand times before. Lengths of rope are coiled around his torso, and perched behind his head — tentacles curled possessively around his neck — is a very much alive octopus that seems entirely at home. His expression is worn, calculating, and deeply unbothered. This is not a man who has anything left to prove.

Sculpted with an extraordinary level of detail, from the heavy stitching on his belted coat and the wrapped bindings on his boots, to the barnacle-pocked cannon barrel and the expressive, ink-dark eyes of his cephalopod companion, Richie reads as a named character the moment he hits the table. Whether you cast him as a fearsome pirate lord, a grizzled ex-naval officer turned mercenary, or a deeply chaotic neutral hireling with an unusual familiar, he'll anchor any nautical or seafaring campaign with real presence.

Three decorative base options are available: a coral reef seabed with a fish and anemone, a sandy shoreline scattered with a skull, starfish, and shells, or a rocky seabed with a sunken anchor and barnacle clusters. Each is richly textured and thematically matched to Richie's nautical world. Alternatively, a plain black base is included as standard. Bases are printed separately and can be attached with a small amount of glue.

Encounter Hook:

Now, as they approach his ship to negotiate passage through the blockade, they find Richie sitting on a cannon, stroking the creature on his shoulder, and watching them with one pale, unreadable eye. He speaks first: "I know why you're here. Octavius told me." The octopus does not react. Richie does not elaborate.
