Description

Half-buried beneath centuries of jungle growth, the great stone face stares skyward — silent, inscrutable, and far older than any empire your players have ever heard of.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

Inspired by the monumental heads carved by the ancient Olmec civilisation of Mesoamerica, this sculpt translates that sense of immense, weathered antiquity directly onto your battle map. The cracked stone surface, the heavy-lidded eyes, the geometric helmet-like headdress — every detail speaks of a culture lost to time, and of secrets that may not want to be found. Whether your setting draws on real-world history or conjures a wholly original lost civilisation deep in a jungle hex, this piece earns its place the moment it lands on the table.

As scatter terrain rather than a full diorama, the Olmec Colossal Head is wonderfully versatile — it reads instantly as ancient, mysterious, and significant. Dungeon Masters can use it as a waypoint, a dungeon entrance, a trapped idol, or simply as the kind of atmospheric dressing that makes players stop mid-session and say, "Hang on — what IS that?"

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Are running jungle, ruins, or lost-civilisation encounters and want terrain with real narrative weight
  • Need a centrepiece prop that signals history and danger without a word of exposition
  • Enjoy painting terrain pieces with weathering, moss, and aged-stone effects
  • Build immersive battle maps and display dioramas for gaming or collection

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to retrieve a jade medallion from a ruin three days into the jungle — but when they arrive, they find a colossal stone head half-emerged from the earth, its hollow eyes glowing faintly green. The medallion is inside. So is whatever put the glow there.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The piece arrives ready for priming and painting, or can be used as-is straight from the box. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with any resin terrain piece, minor surface marks may occasionally occur and can be smoothed away with light sanding.
