Description

He doesn't aim the mortar — he just points it roughly where the screaming is loudest and lets the goblin on his shoulder worry about the maths.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is a formidable sculpt from Witchsong Miniatures: a barrel-chested ogre warrior in a horned gladiatorial helmet, muscles straining as he hefts an enormous cannon barrel under one arm. Perched on his shoulder is a small goblin spotter, one hand raised mid-gesture as if issuing corrections the ogre has absolutely no intention of following. A rope net hangs at his hip — presumably for collecting whatever's left after the shot. The scenic base is littered with shattered stone and rubble, giving the whole piece the look of a battlefield already mid-destruction. This is a large display-scale miniature with an 80mm base, built to dominate any encounter map or display shelf.

In D&D terms, this pair functions beautifully as a Giant-type boss monster — the ogre as a brute forcing his way through the front line, the goblin as an attached spotter or War Wizard familiar granting ranged targeting bonuses. Whether you're running a siege encounter, a mercenary warband, or a brutal hobgoblin war camp, this duo will make your players genuinely reconsider their positioning.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a memorable siege-weapon boss for a military or warcamp encounter
  • Want a display-scale miniature that commands attention on a shelf
  • Are building a Giant or Monster faction warband
  • Love characterful sculpts with strong narrative storytelling built into the pose
  • Enjoy painting ambitious, detail-rich projects with multiple focal points

Encounter Hook:
The party crests the hill to find a hobgoblin artillery line — and at its centre, a single ogre loading a cannon by himself, a wiry goblin on his shoulder screaming coordinates at the top of his lungs. The first shot lands thirty feet short. The goblin is already recalculating. The ogre is already reloading.

This miniature comes with an 80mm scenic base, supplied detached for ease of painting — attach with a small amount of glue when ready. The sculpt is printed at a display scale larger than standard 32mm to reflect its status as a boss-tier character. If you'd like a different scale, get in touch and we'll see what we can do. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming.
