This is pose 1 of The Toadstool Weaver's Ogre range, and it wastes no time making its intentions clear. The sculpt captures the ogre mid-advance: one arm raised overhead with a short blade gripped between meaty fingers, the other swinging a heavy club low and wide. Its jaw is wrenched open in a full-throated roar, rows of jagged teeth on show, and every slab of muscle across its torso is tensed for impact. A crude necklace of bones and trinkets hangs at its chest — the only ornamentation on a creature that clearly doesn't need any.
For Dungeon Masters, this mini does the heavy lifting the moment it hits the table. The forward-leaning stance reads as pure aggression — the kind that makes players immediately reassess their positioning. For collectors and painters, the surface detail is genuinely rewarding: deep muscle striations, rough wraps at the wrists, and a face full of character that'll take washes and highlights beautifully.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a physically imposing brute for low-to-mid level D&D or TTRPG encounters
- Are building an ogre warband with multiple poses across the range
- Want a meaty painting project with strong anatomical detail and expressive face work
- Are after a display piece that reads as threatening from across the room
Encounter Hook:
The caravan was found three miles from the village — wheels broken, goods scattered, driver missing. Tracks in the mud lead into the treeline: each one a foot and a half wide, spaced six feet apart, and very, very fresh.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Support marks are removed during post-processing; as with all resin work, minor surface blemishes can occasionally occur and are straightforward to clean up before priming.
