Description

It did not swim up from the ocean floor — it unfolded from the dark between tides, its hollow mask turned towards the shore.

  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs

The Ocean Reaper is a deeply unsettling sculpt that sits somewhere between deep-sea predator and planar horror. Its elongated, near-skeletal frame is wrapped in flowing chitin-like plating that tapers into trailing tendrils at its feet, as though the creature is perpetually half-submerged in some lightless current. The featureless, segmented mask where a face should be makes it all the more chilling — there is nothing to read, nothing to bargain with. This is a creature of alien patience.

On the tabletop, the Ocean Reaper works brilliantly as an aberration, a deep-sea fiend, or a herald of something vast and unknowable. Its pose — mid-stride, one hand raised in a slow, deliberate reach — captures a creature that doesn't rush, because it doesn't need to. Painted in bioluminescent blues and blacks, or left in stark bone-white, it's equally at home in an underwater campaign, a Far Realm incursion, or as the centrepiece of a Lovecraftian horror arc. Collectors will find the flowing silhouette and layered surface detail genuinely rewarding to paint.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Run underwater or coastal campaigns and need a genuinely eerie encounter piece
  • Want a boss-level aberration or fiend that doesn't look like anything else on the table
  • Enjoy challenging, high-detail painting projects
  • Collect display miniatures with strong visual identities

Encounter Hook:
The fishing village has been silent for three days. When the party arrives, they find the nets still in the water — each one neatly folded and placed on the dock. In the centre of the market square, facing out to sea, stands something tall, motionless, and waiting. It turns when it hears them approach.

Scaled to 32mm. The model with the detailed scenic base is supplied as a single piece. The version with a plain base is supplied with the base detached for easy assembly with a small amount of glue. As with all hand-finished prints, minor surface marks are possible — these are easily addressed before priming.
