The Obsidian Sentinels are no mere skeletons pressed into service — these are the remnants of an elite guard order, bound to their post by oath and dark enchantment long after death claimed them. Each one stands tall in ornately engraved armour decorated with skull motifs, a wide-brimmed hat cocked at an imperious angle, and the unmistakable bearing of a soldier who never truly stood down. Whether they serve a lich-king, a death cult, or some forgotten arcane institution, their presence at the entrance to any dungeon, palace, or forbidden vault will make your players very aware that something powerful and patient lies within.
