Guard drakes are the favoured sentinels of dragon cults, dark sorcerers, and any villain who needs something with scales and teeth standing between them and an impatient adventuring party. This sculpt captures one mid-display — rearing up on powerful hind legs atop a rocky outcrop, mouth wide as a billowing breath weapon tears free in a dramatic fan of flame or force. The detail across the flanks is exceptional: overlapping scales run down the serpentine neck and spine, while bony ridges and dorsal spurs give the creature a menacing silhouette that reads clearly even from across the table.
The sculpt is multipart, giving painters precise access to all that lovely scale texture. The decorative rocky base is included if you want the full dramatic presentation, or you can opt for the plain base variant for a cleaner finish or custom basing.
