The Nykur is drawn from Icelandic folklore: a shape-shifting water spirit that takes the form of a horse to lure the unwary onto its back, dragging them beneath the surface to drown. This sculpt captures that uncanny wrongness brilliantly — at first glance, it reads as a heavy-set, long-maned horse, but look closer and you'll spot the predator beneath. The mane cascades in thick, waterlogged ribbons, the musculature is dense and powerful, and the face carries that telltale wrongness — too many teeth, parted just enough to remind you this is no beast of burden.
