The Nothic is one of D&D's most unsettling aberrations: a wizard so consumed by the hunger for forbidden knowledge that it was transformed into something barely recognisable as having ever been human. This sculpt from Yasashii Kyojin Studio leans hard into that wrongness. The body is hunched and coiled like a spring about to release, sinewy limbs drawn close beneath a torso that erupts into a crown of jagged, branching bone-spines. The single oversized eye dominates the face, bulging and glassy, set above a jaw stretched wide in a grimace of feral intent. Every surface speaks of something that has abandoned the pretence of civility entirely.

This is the second pose in our Nothic range — where other variants may stand or loom, this one crouches low and forward, all menace and coiled readiness. It works equally well as a wandering Underdark threat, a mad guardian of forgotten lore, or a recurring antagonist who always seems to know just a little too much about the party. Whether you're placing it on the battlemat or painting it for your display shelf, the sculpt has the kind of character detail that makes it worth the time.

Encounter Hook:
The party has been tracking a missing sage through the ruins beneath the city. They find his research notes first — then his robes — then, around the next corner, something that was wearing his face wrong. It cocks its head, that single eye fixing on the rogue. "You stole something," it rasps. "Three years ago. From someone who loved you. I can see it."

Scaled to 32mm and supplied unpainted, ready for priming and painting straight out of the box. Available with or without a plain black display base — the base ships unattached and can be affixed with a small amount of glue. As with all hand-finished prints, minor surface marks are possible; these are easily addressed during prep.
