Description
Once a wizard who delved too greedily into forbidden knowledge, the Nothic exists now as something far worse — a hunched, one-eyed remnant haunted by the Weave it can never reclaim.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This is pose 02 of the Novaminis Nothic range, and it captures the creature mid-stalk — weight shifting onto one clawed foot, both arms extended with grasping talons splayed wide. The single oversized eye dominates its skull-like head, ringed by bony spines that fan outward like a grotesque crown. Warty, textured hide covers its lean frame, and those long digitigrade legs give it the unsettling appearance of something that could lunge from the shadows in an instant. Every detail — the hooked claws, the parted jaw, the predatory crouch — reads clearly at gaming distance and rewards close inspection on a display shelf.
Nothics lurk beneath ancient towers, in forgotten vaults, and anywhere secrets have been left unguarded. This particular sculpt carries a palpable sense of hunger — not for flesh, but for knowledge it can no longer comprehend. Give your party an opponent that feels genuinely wrong at the table, one that your players will remember long after the session ends.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run Underdark or dungeon-delving campaigns and want a Nothic that commands attention on the board
- Need a memorable boss or wandering threat in a wizard's ruined sanctum
- Collect aberration-type creatures and appreciate finely detailed creature sculpts
- Enjoy painting challenging organic textures — the warty hide and layered spines are a painter's treat
Encounter Hook:
The party descends into the sub-levels of the collapsed Archmage's tower searching for a stolen spellbook — only to find it already open on the floor, pages torn and scattered. From the dark at the far end of the vault, a single pale eye catches the torchlight. Whatever was once a scholar has been watching them since they entered. It already knows what they're looking for. It already knows they won't like what it has read.
