Ishkar is a force of primal menace given form. This sculpt from Primal Collectibles' Tales of Kreyvos range captures the evil shaman mid-ritual — bare-chested and muscular, his expression twisted into a war-cry, one arm thrust skyward and the other gripping a tall staff crowned with a human skull and bound with cord and feathers. His skirt of layered leaves and hide strips, wrist-wraps of woven fibre, and feathered chest adornments mark him as a figure of dark tribal authority rather than mere brute strength.
The base tells its own grim story: shattered bones, a half-buried skull, and a gnarled root coil around his feet, placing him firmly in a desolate swamp or cursed burial ground. Three distinct poses are available — one with arms flung wide and skull-staff braced low, one in a more commanding upright stance with a pointing finger raised, and one with a rune-carved heart clutched aloft in his free hand. Each variation offers a different narrative moment for your table or display shelf.
Whether you paint him in swamp-stained earth tones or in vivid ochre war paint, the sculpt's generous surface detail — from the fine texture of the feather bundles to the individual bones on the base — rewards careful brushwork at every skill level.
This miniature is well suited to adventurers who:
- Need a dangerous tribal spellcaster as a BBEG or lieutenant villain
- Are running campaigns in swamp, jungle, or cursed wilderness settings
- Want a distinctive shaman sculpt for a Druid, Cleric, or Warlock character
- Are building out a hostile war-tribe encounter for their party
- Collect character miniatures with exceptional base scenic detail
Encounter Hook
The village elder warned the party not to follow the drums into the fen. They followed the drums. Now, ankle-deep in black water and surrounded by painted warriors who have not yet attacked, they face Ishkar — who is holding something that beats, slowly, in his raised fist, and smiling as though he already knows how this ends.
