Northern Merchant / Mayor (Mayor Corvell) by Monster Atlas
Description
Every corrupt town has a man like him — all charm and top hat, one hand extended in greeting, the other already counting your coin.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Mayor Corvell cuts an unmistakable figure: broad-shouldered and heavily built, dressed in a quilted doublet that strains at the seams, a fur-trimmed cloak thrown back with deliberate swagger. A top hat sits at a jaunty angle above a grinning, tusked face, and a heavy length of gold chain hangs around his neck like a trophy. In one hand he grips a brass-tipped cane with the casual confidence of a man who has never once needed it for balance — it is purely for show, and he knows you know it. He is a merchant who became a mayor, or perhaps always was both, and the distinction has never seemed to trouble him.
This sculpt is dripping with character detail: the diamond-quilted texture of his jacket, the layered rings on his fingers, the slightly too-wide smile that never quite reaches his eyes. He reads equally well as a corrupt small-town official, a black-market magnate, a thieves' guild fence who has gone respectable, or a travelling merchant with more influence than his wagons suggest. On the tabletop, he commands presence. On a display shelf, he tells a story without a word.
A great fit for adventurers who:
- Need a memorable quest-giver with a suspicious amount of gold
- Are running an urban intrigue or political campaign arc
- Want a villain who smiles warmly while setting the party up
- Collect character-driven NPC minis with narrative weight
- Play in cold-climate or northern frontier settings
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives in Frostmere to find the town's beloved Mayor Corvell throwing a lavish mid-winter banquet — but three merchants who refused his trade agreement have gone missing, and the only person anyone dares ask is the man in the gold chain and the top hat, who just pours them another drink and smiles.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and base are separate pieces — attach with a small amount of superglue. The decorative base is recommended, as the sculpt is designed to complement it. Support marks are removed prior to dispatch; minor imperfections are possible given the nature of the process and will be easily tidied with a hobby knife prior to priming. Suitable for painting or display straight from the box.
