Description
He arrived at the settlement's edge in a snowstorm, scroll in hand and staff planted in the ice, bearing a message from a tower no one had visited in twenty years.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Northern Apprentice cuts a striking figure — robed against the cold, his expression set with the quiet intensity of someone who has studied too long and slept too little. One hand grips a partially unrolled scroll, the other holds a worn wooden staff, and his belted travelling robes speak of hard roads and harder lessons. This is not a court mage performing tricks for nobility — this is a scholar who has walked through blizzards to deliver knowledge others would rather stay buried.
Whether he serves as a player character wizard at the start of their journey, a rival spellcaster the party keeps running into, or a morally ambiguous quest-giver with a scroll full of bad news, the Northern Apprentice has the presence to carry the scene. He works equally well on the tabletop and in a display collection of scholar or caster figures.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Play wizards, sorcerers, or scholar-type characters in cold-climate or northern settings
- Need a memorable NPC spellcaster — a rival, an ally, or a bearer of unwelcome information
- Want a caster figure with grounded, travel-worn detail rather than theatrical magical flair
- Collect fantasy scholars, academics, or arcane characters for display
Encounter Hook:
The party receives word that a young apprentice from the Frostreach Academy has arrived in town, demanding to speak with whoever opened the sealed vault beneath the old keep. He's clutching a scroll that, judging by his expression, contains very bad news — and he's been followed.
