This Nordic Dwarf Hammer miniature captures the stoic resolve of a dwarven warrior-priest in magnificent detail. He stands in a grounded, weighty stance — one fist pulled to his chest in a gesture of quiet authority, the other gripping a broad, riveted warhammer that looks more than capable of caving in a dungeon door. His face, framed by a thick braided beard, emerges from beneath a deep hood that sits over layered chainmail and heavy pauldrons etched with geometric Nordic knotwork. The tunic beneath is banded and layered, adding to the sense of a warrior who has been fighting long enough to know the value of good armour.

The sculpt carries exceptional surface detail throughout — the chainmail links are individually rendered, the hammer head is studded and squared with a satisfying solidity, and the boots are buckled and worn in the way only a veteran campaigner's would be. This is a miniature with real personality: calm, purposeful, and carrying the weight of centuries of dwarven tradition on those broad shoulders.

Whether you're running him as a dwarf cleric of a forge or war deity, a paladin oath-bound to his clan, or a battle-hardened fighter who supplements steel with prayer, he will anchor your party's frontline with unmistakable presence. Equally compelling as a display piece on a shelf — the Nordic detail rewards careful painting with washes and drybrushing across the metalwork.

This miniature suits adventurers who:

  • Are playing or DMing a dwarven hold, mountain fortress, or Norse-inspired campaign
  • Want a cleric, paladin, or fighter mini with genuine character and heft
  • Are building out a dwarven warband or clan council encounter group
  • Enjoy a painting project that rewards layered metallic work and intricate texture
  • Want a display-worthy centrepiece for a Norse or dwarven-themed collection

Encounter Hook: The party arrives at the sealed gates of Grimholt Keep to find a solitary figure standing before them in the snow — hammer in hand, hood drawn low. He is Thordal Ironchant, last survivor of the keep's garrison, and he has stood here for three days waiting to see if anyone worthy would come. The question is not whether the party can get past him. The question is whether they can convince him to lead them through what lies beyond.
