Neogi by Monster Atlas
Description
It dropped from the cavern ceiling before the rogue could call out a warning — eight pale legs splayed wide, that serpentine neck arching low, fangs already parted and hungry.

The Neogi is one of the most unsettling creatures in the D&D bestiary, and this sculpt by Monster Atlas captures exactly why. Part eel, part spider, wholly wrong — the miniature features the creature's elongated fanged head curling forward on a segmented neck, a bloated arachnid body bristling with a ridge of spines, and eight long tapering legs spread wide in a posture that reads as both patient and predatory. A pair of small grasping forelimbs clutch at the air beneath the chest, adding to the sense that this thing is always reaching for something. The detail across the chitin plating, the furred underbelly, and the clawed feet gives painters a genuinely rich surface to work with.
In D&D 5e, Neogi are aberrations — telepathic slavers from the Astral Sea who operate in rigid hierarchies of cruelty and cunning. Whether you're running a mind flayer-adjacent arc, an Underdark campaign, or a spelljammer encounter, this miniature earns its place on the table as a credible, viscerally unsettling threat. It works just as well as a display piece for collectors who appreciate the weirder corners of the monster manual.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Run Underdark, Astral, or spelljammer-themed campaigns
- Need a mid-tier aberration boss or recurring threat
- Want a distinctive, lore-grounded mini for their collection
- Enjoy a painting challenge with strong sculptural detail
Encounter Hook:
The party has been tracking a string of disappearances in a subterranean trade outpost — merchants, guards, and one very unlucky cartographer, all taken without a struggle. When they finally find the culprit's lair, a silk-draped alcove behind a false wall, the Neogi is still there, perfectly still, eight eyes reflecting their torchlight and a new set of chains already laid out on the floor.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. The model and base are supplied as separate pieces and can be joined with superglue. Some models interact with their decorative base, so we recommend attaching it for the best visual result. Each piece is quality checked before dispatch, though minor marks from the printing process can occasionally occur and are easily tidied up before priming.
