This Necromancer Lab set from Great Grimoire is a richly detailed scene straight from the shadowed study of a forbidden scholar. The centrepiece figure shows a hooded necromancer mid-incantation — open tome in hand, one arm outstretched in command, his shadow falling over a collapsed skeleton whose soul still lingers, mouth open in a silent wail. The detail on his layered robes, ornate clasp, and the curling wisps of spectral energy make him equally at home as an NPC, a villain, or a powerful player character on a display base.
The second piece is the scholar's workroom itself: a cluttered desk strewn with an open grimoire, potion bottles, a magnifying glass, a two-pan balance scale, and an armillary sphere — with a full skeleton sprawled across the flagstone floor beside a stacked chest of drawers topped with a five-armed candelabra. Every surface tells a story. Place this on your battle map and your players will immediately start asking questions you hadn't planned to answer.
Designed for adventurers who:
- Want atmospheric scatter terrain that does narrative heavy lifting
- Are building a dungeon laboratory, wizard's tower, or Ravenloft-style encounter
- Need a compelling necromancer NPC or villain miniature for their campaign
- Create display dioramas and painting projects with lore-rich centrepieces
Encounter Hook:
The party has tracked the missing village children to the basement of an abandoned apothecary. Descending the stairs, they find this exact room — candles still lit, the scales mid-measurement, and a skeleton on the floor that, as they watch, slowly begins to rise. From across the chamber, a hooded figure lowers his tome and turns to face them. He wasn't expecting company. He isn't alarmed.

What's included:
This listing includes the necromancer figure and the desk/diorama terrain piece, both printed at 32mm scale. If you would like a different scale, send us a message and we'll do our best to accommodate. A plain black base is included as standard; if you'd like a decorative base, please drop us a note at checkout specifying your preferred option. Bases are supplied separately for easy attachment with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch, though minor marks from the printing process are occasionally possible and easily tidied up before priming.
