Description

From the lightless depths it crawled, dragging its spiked shell onto land — part mollusc, part nightmare, entirely unlike anything the sailors' tales prepared them for.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Nautil is a genuinely unsettling creation: a bipedal creature built around a massive ridged nautilus shell, crowned with jagged spines and dominated by a single unblinking eye. Below the shell, a tangle of muscular, sucker-lined tentacles serve as both limbs and weapons — some coiled for grip, others lashing outward. The sculpt leans into deep-ocean horror with a distinctly aberrant edge, making it equally at home as a Monstrosity encounter on a coastal hex map or a guardian lurking in a submerged Underdark grotto. The detail across the shell's spiral ribbing, the individual suckers on each tentacle, and the horned crest above the eye make this a rewarding piece for painters and a striking presence unpainted on the table.

Whether you're running a nautical campaign, designing a flooded dungeon encounter, or simply want something genuinely strange for your display shelf, the Nautil brings a flavour that bog-standard sea monsters simply cannot match.

Well suited for adventurers who:

  • Run coastal, aquatic, or Underdark-themed campaigns
  • Want a distinctive Monstrosity or Aberration encounter piece
  • Are building a deep-sea or flooded-dungeon encounter table
  • Enjoy painting complex organic textures — shell ribbing, sucker rows, spiked crests
  • Collect unusual fantasy creatures for display

Encounter Hook:
The tide has gone out further than it should, and the fishing village of Saltmere hasn't sent its weekly supply cart in twelve days. When the party finally reaches the harbour, they find the boats still moored — nets dragging in the shallows, loaded with something that isn't fish. And from beneath the nearest jetty, a single enormous eye opens in the dark.

What's included:
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and decorative base are printed as separate pieces and can be attached with standard plastic or super glue — note that some sculpts interact with their base, so the decorative base is strongly recommended for the best presentation. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor marks may occasionally remain and can be sanded away easily.
