This Naga Druid cuts a commanding figure — a cobra-hooded serpentfolk elder, their wide hood flared and adorned with a layered bead necklace that speaks of ritual significance. The scales across the chest and coiled lower body are rendered with exceptional detail, each segment distinct and natural in texture. A gnarled, branch-like staff topped with a budding growth is carried in one hand, while the other holds a woven basket filled with gathered mushrooms — the tools of a nature-wielder who walks between the worlds of venom and verdure.
The belt is hung with small pouches, suggesting a druid well-supplied for the road ahead, and a crown of short spines rises from the head like a natural diadem. The coiled serpent tail forms the base naturally, grounding the figure without the need for an artificial plinth. This is a sculpt designed to reward careful painting — the contrast between the smooth ventral scales, the textured dorsal hide, and the woven details of the basket and staff all offer distinct textures for different techniques.
Whether this figure represents a guardian of desert ruins, a jungle oracle encountered mid-ritual, or a morally complex NPC broker of forbidden knowledge, the sculpt supports all of those readings without being pigeonholed into any one of them.
A natural choice for adventurers who:
- Are running yuan-ti, naga, or serpentfolk-themed encounters or campaigns
- Need a druid NPC with genuine presence and distinctive visual character
- Want a playable serpentfolk druid or shaman for a Pathfinder or homebrew game
- Are looking for a display piece that rewards detailed painting across multiple textures
- Are building a desert temple, jungle shrine, or ancient ruin encounter setting
Encounter Hook: The party arrives at the edge of a dried riverbed to find a naga druid crouched over a ring of mushrooms, arranging them in a precise spiral pattern. She does not look up. She says only: "The poison oak has bloomed out of season. The river dried in a month. You did not come here by accident — and neither did whatever is moving beneath the sands." The basket of mushrooms, the party will later learn, contains both the toxin and the antidote for what is already spreading through the nearest village.
