Nackle Fishfinger is a wonderfully characterful goblin seafarer — the kind of scoundrel who turns up on the docks at midnight with a fish basket full of dubious cargo and a lantern swinging from one clawed fist. He strides forward with unmistakable swagger, bamboo fishing rod arcing overhead, his battered sailor's coat flapping behind him as though the sea breeze follows him everywhere out of professional courtesy.
The sculpt is packed with narrative detail. A riveted diving helmet sits perched atop his pointed ears, lending him an air of eccentric maritime ambition. Strapped to his back is an enormous wicker basket overflowing with a monstrous catch — scales, fins, and a toothy fish head spilling over the top, evidence of either extraordinary skill or extraordinary luck. The scenic base captures a weathered dockside platform: coiled rope, a dropped anchor, and planked decking that puts him squarely on the waterfront where he belongs.
This is a multipart miniature — the fishing rod, fish-laden basket, and barrel lantern are separate components, giving painters clean access to every surface. A decorative base is included, and a plain base option is also available for adventurers who prefer to base their own. A baseless version is offered too, for those mounting to custom bases or dioramas.
Whether he's a roguish goblin merchant NPC hawking suspicious wares on the quayside, a beloved player character Rogue or Ranger who took the Sailor background, or the eccentric harbormaster the party needs to bribe for passage — Nackle rewards a splash of colour and a confident wash in all the right places.
Particularly well suited to adventurers who:
- Run nautical or pirate-themed D&D campaigns and want characterful NPCs for the docks
- Play goblin characters with a seafaring or roguish bent
- Enjoy multipart miniatures that offer excellent access for detail painting
- Want a goblin sculpt that tells its own story without a word of explanation
- Are building a display piece that captures a specific moment on the waterfront
Encounter Hook
The party arrives in Saltmarsh to charter a vessel, only to find the harbour master's berths are all mysteriously full — unless they know a goblin named Nackle. They find him at the end of pier seven, lantern aloft, haggling loudly with a pelican. He'll get them a ship. He'll want something peculiar in return. He always does.
