Description
It sits dormant in the centre of the chamber — a domed brass contraption ringed with bolts and layered discs, its segmented petals slowly peeling back to reveal something churning and unknowable within.

This is Variation 01 of the Mysterious Clockwork Device range by Novaminis. The sculpt presents the device in its open state, with curved segmented panels unfurling outward from a layered circular base — like a mechanical flower mid-bloom, or a trap preparing to spring. The interior is a chaotic tangle of angular components, suggesting gears, arcane focusing crystals, or something far stranger. The tiered disc base gives it the presence of an installation rather than a mere prop — something built to last, and built with purpose.
Whether it's a gnomish contraption gone rogue, an artificer's prototype mid-activation, or an ancient Modron artefact reawakening after centuries of silence, this piece carries genuine narrative weight. It works beautifully as an environmental focal point on the tabletop and holds its own as a display piece on a shelf.

Encounter Hook:

The Arcana check reveals it's counting down. To what, no one knows yet. And the door behind them has just sealed shut.
Scaled to 32mm and compatible with standard TTRPG battle maps. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Ready for priming and painting straight out of the box, or use it as-is for an unpainted metal aesthetic. Some minor surface marks are possible due to the printing process; these are easily tidied up before painting.
