This is pose 3 of our Myconid Warrior range, sculpted by Novaminis. Where other poses in the range stand their ground, this one is caught mid-lunge — arms thrown wide, one clawed hand reaching forward and the other curling back, body low and coiled with that unsettling fungal energy that makes myconids feel less like monsters and more like forces of nature. The broad cap of a mature warrior fans overhead, and the torso is dense with chitinous ridges, trailing mycelium tendrils, and the layered texture of bark and spore-growth that Novaminis renders with such distinctive character. It reads immediately as a creature that communicates not through words but through spore-burst and ancient, wordless intent.
On the tabletop, myconids occupy a rare and genuinely interesting design space — they can be hostile defenders of a fungal grove, tragic figures corrupted by an outside force, or strange and reluctant allies offering the party knowledge that only centuries of underground memory can provide. This sculpt leans into their alien physicality: there is nothing humanoid-comfortable about this pose. It belongs in the Underdark, and it knows it. Equally at home on a display shelf as it is across the encounter mat from your adventurers.
Well suited to adventurers who:
- Are running Underdark campaigns and want myconid encounters with genuine visual weight
- Need a myconid that reads as a warrior rather than a passive colony member
- Collect fungal, plant-type, or monster miniatures for painting or display
- Want a dynamic, characterful sculpt that photographs well and tells a story unpainted
Encounter Hook:
The party follows a trail of glowing spores through a collapsed tunnel and emerges into a vast cavern carpeted in fungi. At the centre, three myconid warriors stand in a wide-legged stance around a prone figure — a drow scout, still breathing, eyes vacant. One warrior slowly turns its cap toward the party. It does not speak. It exhales a single plume of violet spores, and suddenly the scout's memories are playing out inside every character's mind at once.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale, with the option to add a plain black base (unattached — a small amount of glue will fix it in place). Arrives ready to prime and paint, or use straight from the box. Each piece is individually checked before dispatch; as with all resin miniatures, minor marks from support removal may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up.

The cats rolled Persuasion to convince us this was a good business idea. We didn't even ask for a roll.
