Description

In the lightless tunnels beneath the world, not every watcher has eyes — some simply feel the vibrations in the mycelium and know you are already too late to run.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is pose 02 of our Myconid Scout range by Novaminis. Where pose 01 might be caught mid-movement, this variant presents the scout in a more deliberate, watchful stance — weight planted, clawed hands raised and ready, the broad cap of its mushroom head tilted with an unsettling awareness. Every surface is alive with texture: knobbly growths, overlapping fungal scales, and trailing gill-like fronds that make it look as though the forest floor itself decided to stand up and take notice.

Myconids occupy a strange and compelling niche in D&D lore — neither plant nor animal, communicating through spore clouds rather than speech, and organising themselves into colonies governed by a sovereign whose will permeates the very air. A scout like this one might be the first sign that the party has strayed into claimed territory, or the last warning before the colony decides to act. The sculpt captures that liminal quality beautifully: it reads as both alien and purposeful, unsettling without being overtly monstrous.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Are running Underdark campaigns and want distinct, characterful fungal folk on the table
  • Need an individual Myconid figure to represent a scout, messenger, or lone watcher in an encounter
  • Collect fungi-themed or strange creature miniatures for display or painting projects
  • Want a talking-point piece that rewards close inspection from every angle

Encounter Hook:
The party has been following a narrow tunnel for three hours when they find a crude cairn of stones blocking the path — and crouching behind it, utterly still, a single Myconid Scout staring at them with hollow, unblinking eyes. It has not moved in what might be hours. A thin haze of spores drifts from its cap. One of the fighters swears, quietly, that they can hear something in the back of their mind — a low, insistent hum that wasn't there before.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale, this miniature suits a standard D&D grid and sits comfortably alongside the rest of your humanoid and monster collection. It is supplied with an optional plain black base, which comes unattached and can be glued in place as desired. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming — or equally striking left as-is on a display shelf. Some minor imperfections from the print process may occasionally occur; these are easily tidied up before painting.
