Mycelia is a captivating fungal spirit sculpted with extraordinary detail by Great Grimoire. She perches with languid authority atop a weathered, gnarled tree stump, one leg drawn up as she leans on a twisted branch staff topped with forking antler-like growth. Her head bears a broad, sweeping mushroom cap that gives her silhouette an immediately otherworldly quality — part dryad, part myconid, wholly her own creature.

The sculpt's base is a diorama in miniature: clusters of wild mushrooms of varying sizes surround the stump, lily pads and small flowers dot a shallow pool etched into the base, and split bark curls outward from the roots like frozen wood grain. Every angle of this piece rewards a close look — the rear view reveals a flat mushroom cap canopy and a base teeming with fungal scatter that would paint up beautifully as bioluminescent growth.

At 35mm scale, she sits slightly larger than a standard 32mm mini, giving her a commanding presence on the tabletop. Whether she's a forest guardian, a Feywild druid, a myconid sovereign surrogate, or a BBEG pulling spore-laced strings from the heart of a fungal grove, Mycelia brings something genuinely distinctive to your table.

Suits adventurers who:

  • Run Feywild, forest, or Underdark campaigns with nature-spirit encounters
  • Want a druid, archdruid, or fungal sovereign NPC with real presence
  • Are building a myconid-themed or plant-creature encounter group
  • Collect display pieces with intricate environmental bases
  • Love painting organic textures — bark, mushroom caps, lily pads, and spores

Encounter Hook

The party has been hired to find a missing herbalist who ventured into the Thornmere — a forest where the trees have begun growing in perfect concentric rings and the local animals move in eerie synchrony. At the heart of the pattern they find Mycelia, perched atop the oldest stump in the wood, her spores drifting in lazy spirals. The herbalist kneels at her feet, eyes vacant but breathing. She turns her mushroom-crowned head slowly toward the party and says, simply: "They came willingly. As will you, in time."
