The Mushroom Toad is one of those creatures that makes players genuinely unsure whether to attack, negotiate, or flee. Part beast, part fungal colony, it occupies that strange space in the Underdark where natural and supernatural blur together. Whether you use it as a territorial guardian of a myconid grove, a corrupted familiar of a spore druid, or simply one of those encounters that leaves your players asking questions they won't get answers to — it earns its place at the table. The sculpt captures that balance beautifully: heavy, warty, grounded, with an enormous mushroom canopy spreading from its back and two smaller growths flanking it like pauldrons.
Up close, the detail is where this piece really delivers. The toad's textured hide, the ridged caps of the fungi, the gnarled base with its suggestion of cave-floor soil — this is a miniature that rewards both a careful paint job and a prominent spot on a display shelf. It works equally well as a combat encounter piece or a characterful centrepiece for your Underdark scenery.

Encounter Hook:
The party follows a trail of bioluminescent spores deep into the cavern, only to find the source: a vast Mushroom Toad seated motionless in the centre of a ring of dead myconids. It hasn't moved in days — but the spores drifting from its back carry fragmented visions of something that happened here. Something the party may already be too late to stop.
Scaled to 32mm. The model and decorative base are supplied as separate pieces — attach with a small amount of superglue. Note that some models interact with their base in ways that look best when assembled as intended. Supplied unpainted and ready to prime.

We use Royal Mail Track48 for our Domestic parcel delivery. This provides you with a tracking number so that you can track your items on their way to you.
