This is pose 01 of the Mummy Lord range by Novaminis. The sculpt captures a moment of terrible authority: arms outstretched as though commanding the very air around him, strips of funerary linen trailing from his wrists, a heavy ceremonial belt adorned with skull motifs cinching his robes. Layered bandages wrap his torso, arms, and feet, while a deep hood frames a face half-obscured beneath ancient wrappings. The detail on this piece is extraordinary — chains loop at his sides, carved pauldrons sit heavy on his shoulders, and the weathered texture of centuries of entombment runs across every surface.
In D&D 5e terms, the Mummy Lord is one of the most feared undead bosses in the game — a spellcasting, curse-wielding CR 15 nightmare capable of rotting adventurers where they stand. This sculpt earns that reputation on the table. Equally at home on a display shelf as the centrepiece of a desert campaign, it suits Dungeon Masters and collectors in equal measure.
Brilliant for adventurers who:
- Need a commanding undead boss for a desert tomb or ancient empire encounter
- Are running a cursed pharaoh, lich-adjacent villain, or forgotten dynasty arc
- Want a high-detail display piece with real presence on the shelf
- Are building an undead warband with a worthy leader at its head
Encounter Hook:
The party breaches the inner sanctum of the Pyramid of Khet-Amara and finds the sarcophagus already open — the Mummy Lord stands at the far end of the chamber, arms wide, whispering in a tongue not spoken for three thousand years. The torches go out one by one.
