This is pose 4 of our Mummy range from Yasashii Kyojin Studios, and it is one of the most unsettling takes on the classic undead we've come across. The sculpt depicts a mummy mid-awakening — wrappings unspooling into a mass of whipping, tendril-like strips that fan out from the body in every direction, curling at their tips like something between a lash and a beckoning hand. The face is thrown back, mouth agape in a silent scream or a curse, arms raised with clawed fingers splayed wide. There is genuine horror in this pose — not the lumbering shamble of a tomb guardian, but something ancient and furious that has just remembered what it is.
The detail across the layered bandage wrapping is rich and consistent, with individual strips pulling free and trailing to the ground, some coiling at the base. A broad ceremonial collar sits at the throat, hinting at royal or priestly origins. This is a miniature that reads clearly at arm's length on a game table and rewards close inspection on a display shelf. Suited to 32mm scale encounters as a boss monster or an elite undead threat, it also makes a striking centrepiece for any collection focused on desert tombs, cursed ruins, or ancient horror.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a centrepiece undead boss for a desert tomb or cursed temple encounter
- Are running a campaign featuring mummy lords, ancient curses, or Egyptian-inspired settings
- Want a miniature that works equally well on the game table and a display shelf
- Enjoy painting complex organic textures — the layered bandages and trailing wrappings offer serious depth
Encounter Hook:
The party descends into the burial chamber of the Undying Pharaoh just as the oil in their last lantern runs low. Hieroglyphs along the walls begin to glow — then, from the sarcophagus at the chamber's heart, a sound like tearing cloth fills the air, and dozens of bandage ends rise like serpents scenting prey. The Pharaoh does not rush. He simply opens his hands.
Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Each miniature is individually quality checked before dispatch; the occasional minor mark from the printing process can be addressed with light sanding before priming. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming, painting, or immediate use on the table.
